Web 2.0 Tools
Resources for Teachers (and Parents too!)
Grades 2nd thru 8th
"Before you attempt to bring these technologies to your students, first be selfish about their use in your own learning practice." - Richardson (2010)
Creative thinking
"Creativity, ingenuity, and innovation are the keys to
success in the evolving global economy. To prepare
young people for work and life in the 21st century,
educators must cultivate students' creativity"
( Henderson, 2008).
My favorite Web 2.0 tools include; Glogster, Animoto, and Storybird.
-
GLOGs online (multimedia posters) using text, photos, videos, graphics, sounds and drawing.
-
Animoto is a fun easy tool for creating videos. Students can produce videos from user-selected photos, video clips and music. A simple three step process.
-
Storybird lets students create their own storybooks.
